Baby sprinkle

Before Catherine left Saturday evening my friend Tracy threw us a Baby Sprinkle!

It was unbelievable perfect and what a beautiful day! It was a beautiful tea theme and everyone had an AMAZING time!! I am so lucky to have such great friends!

Catherine left

Well Saturday Catherine left, it was a sad day!

I am so thankful that she came and spent the past 3 weeks with us! It was nice to have an extra hand with Kaleigh and around the house!

Kaleigh asks for Catherine everyday, "where Caferine?" We tell her that Catherine had to go home to Georgia and she seems to accept that. However, now every time Curtis or I leave Kaleigh says "NO Georgia. No airport."

Father's Day weekend

We had a great weekend this weekend!

Saturday Curtis started his Kaleigh and Daddy time. We have decided to help adjust to having a new baby at home we would have a dedicated time that is just for Kaleigh with each of us! So Saturday Kaleigh and Curtis went to gymnastics class...this time we all went as I had been before and Curtis wanted me to come along! They had a great time and I really think Kaleigh will enjoy having this time JUST with Curtis every Saturday for about an hour!

After Gymnastics we took Kaleigh to Connolley Ranch to see all the animals! Lots of our friends were there and although we were not able to stay long because Kaleigh was ready for bed, we had a great time!

For my wonderful Husband and amazing father to our daughter on Father's Day I made him Alton Brown's french toast, most amazing thing ever and all made from scratch...including the bread! We then went to church and came home to put Kaleigh down for an early nap!
After nap time we went to six flags and it was PACKED! I have never seen it so bussy but it was because all season pass holders got to bring a friend for free, how we got Catherine in! Although we were not able to stay long because Kaleigh became tired, we saw the Whale show (which Curtis has not seen) and the Tiger show (Curtis nor Catherine had seen).

quick update of pregnancy

I am starting to get to the uncomfortable stage of pregnancy.

I am having lots of BH contractions, period like cramps in my lower belly that extends into my legs, and I seem to have pulled a muscle/tendon in my groin. I am not complaining so much as documenting for other pregnancies! Other than those three things this pregnancy has been going smoothly! The hernia hasn't changed at all (YAY) and as long as I keep presure on it then it is not painful either.

placenta and hernia

The placenta is on my left side meaning the hernia is not effecting the baby at all!!!!! GREAT NEWS!

Baby is also RIGHT on track on growth! The baby weighs about 4lb 7oz and is HEAD DOWN and favoring my right hip to rest his/her head.

No good pictures but here are some...

Yawn

32 weeks and 5 days

Today I have an Ultrasound and I can NOT wait!

They will be checking two things the baby's growth because of the heart medication and migraine medication I am taking and because of the hernia to make sure it is not affecting the baby (they highly doubt it is).

I am hoping we will get LOTS of pictures! Curtis is not able to go with me this time so I am sure he would like to see what he is missing!

I kept teasing him yesterday saying I would findout the sex and not tell him. He finally had enough and said, " I would be very mad if you foundout even if you told me because you made us wait this long. We had to get all this neutral stuff and then you go ahead and findout!" I told him I will stop teasing him and I will not findout.

The baby seems to be anticipating its closeup this morning because he/she is bouncing around this morning! Last night he/she was having a party too...so amazing!!!

hernia

Well today at my appointment my guess was confirmed that I have developed a hernia. I believe it happened right before leaving for GA. I had some abdominal pain and then the lump appeared. I was told I need to take it easy and to have constant pressure on the hernia to relieve some of the pain. Right now it is not super painful but more uncomfortable. It really only hurts when the baby kicks/punches/moves around the area of the hernia.
The doctor assured me that as long as I don't over do it and take caution I will need to have the surgery to fix it after the baby is born, 2 months after. If it becomes larger and/or more painful I will need to have it fixed before the baby is born. The choices she gave me were depending on how early the baby would be they could induce labor and then fix it right after birth or while I am pregnant fix it. I pray that I will be able to wait until after the baby to take any surgical measures!

Other than the hernia the baby seems to be growing very well! He/she had a fast heart rate so the doctor says going by the wives tale its a girl...but we will see! The baby also had a big growth spurt in the past couple weeks! My last measurement my uterus was measuring 24weeks (2 weeks behind, normal) and this time my uterus is measuring 33 weeks (1 weeks ahead, normal).

We are getting another ultrasound next week to make sure the hernia isn't effecting the baby (doubt it would but want to be safe) and also even though my medication is safe during pregnancy they want to check on growth.

Well here are my most recent belly pictures!
This is my friend Rachel, who is 19 weeks in the picture and is having a boy, and I 31 weeks and 2 days

Time is going by WAY to fast! I am not ready for this baby to be coming soon!

trip to GA

Well we had a great trip to Georgia! It was great to see our families and friends!

Curtis enjoyed the 4 days he was there but I think he wished he could have stayed longer as he realy didn't get to spend much time with family as he had bestman duties. The wedding was beautiful and we are so happy for Brian and Allison! Two great people that deserve all the happiness in the world!

My sister Rachel suprised us by throwing us a suprise baby sprinkle! It was great to see everyone and I loved the shirt colors! I don't think I would have ever noticed that almost everyone was wearing pink, blue, or yellow until Rachel pointed it out; I think my hair color is showing!

For the kids I think the highlight of the day was the snake Uncle Jim found on the playset!

I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my nieces and nephew! Kaleigh loves her cousins and already misses them very much! I feel bad for Nathan as the only boy I think the girls kinda ganged up on him! Oh well maybe this baby will bring another boy into the family...have to wait and see
